My husband and I saw the performance by the Mob of “West Side Story” at the Majestic last week. What a wonderful show it was. We have seen the RAOS perform on many occasions, but this was the first time that we have seen the Mob perform on their own. -Pauline Haley

Congratulations in your latest show, West Side Story- I came to see it on it's final night and I have to say it was spectacular- I felt as though I was watching a West End production! -Brady Mould

WHAT A SHOW !!!!!!!!! Both me and my son were so impressed with the professionalism of the cast and we were both tearfull at times from the emotion displayed. The singing was superb and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, thank you !! -Emma Brice

West Side Story is the award winning adaptation of the clasic romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. The feuding families become two warring New York City gangs - The Jets led by Riff and the Puerto Rican Sharks, led by Bernardo. Their hatred escalated to a point where neither can co-exist with any form of understanding.

But when Riff's best friend (and former Jet) Tony and Bernardo's younger sister, Maria, meet at a dance, no one can do anything to stop their love. Maria and Tony begin meeting in secret, planning to run away. Then the Sharks and Jets plan a rumble under the highway - whoever wins gains control of the streets.

Maria sends Tony to stop it, hoping it can end the violence. It goes terribly wrong, and before the lovers know what's happened, tragedy strikes and doesn't stop until the climactic and heartbreaking ending.

West Side Story Cast

After the Show

The MOB are very pleased with how well West Side Story turned out, it took a lot of hard work as always, but in the end we turned out another fantastic show. We are imensly looking forward to our next show in 2010, which we hope will be bigger and better than the last. But in the mean time we are planning a few concerts...just to have a little rest.

Photographs from this show are available to buy at the MOB hall for just £2.50, a sample of photgraphs is in the presentation above.
